Promote, develop, and regulate archery for every Filipino.
To actively promote, systematically develop, and effectively regulate all disciplines and forms of archery throughout the Philippines, ensuring the sport's growth from the grassroots to the elite level, while upholding international standards and fostering a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and sportsmanship among Filipino archers.
Become the most respected sports association in the country.
To become the most respected and admired National Sports Association in the Philippines by setting the highest standards in governance, athlete development, organisational excellence, and community engagement, bringing national achievements and honour to the Philippines.
The ambition
One pathway, from a first arrow to the Olympic line.
Youth and community programs that put a bow in new hands across the country.
Train and compete locally with a WAP-recognised club, and earn your first rankings.
Selected into the Philippine squad as an athlete, coach, or official.
Represent the country at the SEA Games and the Asian Games.
World Cup, World Championships, and the Olympic Games.
What guides us
The highest standards in training, competition, and how we run the sport, so our athletes and coaches can hold their own on any stage.
We lead by serving members first, with honesty and respect.
Archery should be open to everyone, whatever their age, gender, background, or ability.
Honest choices and clear principles, on the range and off it.
We take responsibility, keep our processes fair, and stay open to scrutiny.
Respect and sportsmanship: grace in victory, and in defeat.
The sport
The Olympic and championship format, shot at fixed distances on a flat range.
Targets at varied, often unmarked distances across outdoor terrain.
Life-size animal targets shot around a roving course.
Classic bows and shooting styles, the oldest forms of the sport.
The sport, scored
Archery is the art of the repeatable. Every arrow is judged against the same face: five colours, ten rings, one centre.
What we do
We pick and field the athletes, coaches, and officials who represent the Philippines: the SEA Games, the Asian Games, World and Asia Cup events, the World Championships, and the Olympics.
Courses and certification that raise the standard of coaching across the country.
Seminars and training that keep game officials and judges current with the rules.
We put bows in young hands and grow the sport from the ground up.

World Archery of the Philippines, Inc. (WAP) is the official National Sports Association for archery in the Philippines. The WAP By-Laws, drafted in January 2026, set out our mandate, our members, and the disciplines we govern. This site is built on that document.
Whether you shoot, coach, judge, or run a club, your place in Philippine archery starts here.
